Last Sunday was the DivaRed Sunday craft club. We had very reduced numbers due to the nasty virus that is rampant in South Norfolk at the moment, however we still managed to have a lot of fun and once again I borrowed an idea from Eileen Godwin.
The aperture is cut with a Spellbinders nestie circle, and the coloured background is a larger circle inked with a combination of distress inks and Adirondac inks. The Lavinia birds were stamped in black Versafine and I did a bit of Frantage with a Cosmic Shimmer pink aurora on the blue one and a copper tinsle on the brown one, and added a sprinkle of glass glitter for bling. The dies are from the Die D-lites set from Create and Craft, but Eileen has done hers with Memory Box dies and you need to stick them firmly behind the aperture. Then it is just a case of matting and layering it all together. The extra decoration on the blue poppy card was a bit of a rescue job, I dropped the bottle of glue on it, but actually I really like the result!! Veronica from Vroncards was at the club on Sunday, and you might want to wander over and have a look at her blog http://vroncards.blogspot.co.uk.
Hope you like these two, and happy crafting!
Welcome to blogland Moira -well worth all the nagging!. The cards look just as good in the photos as they do in real life, it was a great afternoon despite the weather
